Boats for Lakes

Gheenoes are at home on virtually all bodies of water and are also used for search and rescue operations on rivers and lakes.

The legendary hull design of all Gheenoe models make them very stable on the open waters of lakes.  Winds as well as wakes from large boats pose no problems.

Unlike canoes, the 13’ and 15’4” models handle broadside waves by riding up and over  them.  Our customers enjoy an affordable and economically operated craft without sacrificing their safety with open water use.

Boats for Power

All models of Gheenoe boats can be powered by outboard motors as well as just trolling motors.  The 13’ model is rated for a 5 hp short shaft outboard that will push it swiftly and safely.  It can also be powered by paddling as a canoe or with a trolling motor for silent powered operation.

The 15’4” is rated for a 10 hp short shaft outboard, and being only 10 lbs heavier than the 13’ @ 110 lbs, makes for a swift boat when the need for speed arises.

The 15’6” Classic is rated for a 25 hp short shaft outboard. Our customers have been clocked at speeds in excess of 30 mph with 25 hp outboards. This makes for a fast, efficient, and affordable alternative (to the $20,000.00 bass boat) that can get you into places others can’t go. 

The 16’ Super is rated for a 40 hp outboard and comes with standard amenities that rival well equipped bass boats.  While it may never outrun a 200 hp powered boat, it will get you to and from your fishing hole with large savings in fuel and overall operating cost.

The latest additions to the Gheenoe line the Low Tide 15 and the Low Tide 25 (not yet pictured here) will get you where you want to be quickly while sipping that now expensive gas.  The Low Tide 15 is rated for a 15 hp while the Low Tide 25 is rated for a 25 hp outboard.
